DOE/LIWAP Weatherization Program
Our Weatherization Programs are funded through grants received from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) in the form of two grants: the Department of Energy (DOE) grant and the Low-Income Weatherization Assistance Program (LIWAP) grant. Both grants require the completion of an application and meeting specific income guidelines.
Energy conservation measures are performed on homes of approved income-eligible applicants. Reducing air infiltration, insulating the home and performing other energy conservation measures are conducted on homes at no cost to the homeowner.
Disaster Rehab Program
HUD provides flexible grants to help cities, counties, and states recover from Presidentially-declared disasters, especially in low-income areas, subject to availability of supplemental appropriations.
